Pomaika'i Lyman

Born into a legacy, Pomaika'i resonates a sound all too familiar in the traditional Hawaiian Music genre, that of her grandmother, Genoa Keawe. Her singing embraces a broad range from traditional ha'i style melodies to romantic Hawaiian songs to contemporary Hawaiian music.

Pomaika'i showcases her talents at various local (Honolulu) venues including Imua Lounge, Chiko's Tavern, the Moana/Surfrider hotel, Halekulani's House Without A Key, and other local venues. She has also appeared on HI*Sessions, a project that brings Hawaii's top musical talent into the limelight and onto the worldwide stage by capturing them in high quality music videos broadcast locally and posted on YouTube.

Balancing a singing career with raising a family that includes four multitalented keiki, Pomaika'i finds working on her CD a challenging effort which she continues to pursue.
